Willow progress

Training time has been compromised due to a stretch of nasty winter weather, but Spring is showing signs and more field time is coming,  Meanwhile she did get some time in the bird field last week and pointed three quail. Beginning to hold – with encouragement…… Looking forward to upcoming training days with the Potomac chapter of N A Versatile Hunting Dog Assoc. A good group of experienced trainers with a variety of dogs.

More time was spent on building good behavior in social settings during the cold months.  Friends at the local Catoctin Breeze winery are especially helpful and welcoming ..

At just 22 months she’s still a puppy, and with super high energy. As one field judge noted,  she doesn’t have an ‘off switch’.  All good fun and a challenge to patience…
